Courage to Cut!

I cut everyone's hair in my house. Christian's, Genna's, Tony's and Hannah's. And Josh's too. I've also cut other Evert's hair as well. After cutting Tony and Josh's hair on Sunday... I started to really want to get my own cut.

You see, I haven't had a decent hair cut in forever. 4 cuts in a row- by different people, cut it so it was longer on one side.... the last cut the lady took a big chunk out of the back that was quite noticeable... so that and the fact that we are working on being more frugal, finally pushed me over the edge. I'd watched some Youtube videos before, but I only ever found ones with cute oriental girls who had very long hair... nothing like the kind of cut I wanted.... I looked again and found basically the same. But I did gather a few principles that helped a lot.

Then I took the scissors in my hands and started to cut! I divided my hair into sections and starting at the bottom.... snipped away!! yes, I prayed!

By the time I got to the 3rd layer up, I called Christina and asked her to come give me some moral support, and to take a look and tell me how I was doing! Thanks for cheering me on Christina!!

I started cutting at about 7.30, and finished at 10.30-- with family worship in there too :) So a little less than 3 hours.

I like it! I think it's actually a good cut!! I would say that it's slightly shorter than I had set out for, and I would say that I learned a lot. Next time I'm going to try to longer flip, with three layers instead of 4, and more on the bottom. But what I have found with this style though is that I can get out the shower, and dry and style it in minutes, which is just what I wanted! I still can't believe I did! I look in the mirror and marvel. LOL!!

Well, this is the beginning of a new trend with me! Now I literally cut everyone's hair in the house!
